"Ride On," Jackie Chan returns |
In the latest action-comedy film "Ride On," Jackie Chan returns to his signature style of combining fast-paced action with comedic elements. Despite the preference for more serious roles, such as his recent performance in "The Foreigner," Chan is back to bringing the classic Jackie Chan magic to the screen.
The film follows the story of a washed-up stuntman, played by Chan, who is struggling to make ends meet and take care of his horse, Red Hare. He must turn to his estranged daughter and her lawyer boyfriend for help when he discovers the horse may be auctioned off to cover his debts. However, a viral video of the stuntman and the horse fighting debt collectors leads to newfound fame and a second chance to choose between his movie career and his family.
Directed by Larry Yang (Adoring), "Ride On" presents a bittersweet and promising story that is a perfect fit for Chan, who at his age in his 60s, still showcases his moves and charisma on screen. The film features thrilling set pieces and even includes the horse in the action, adding to the excitement.
The movie will have a Chinese theatrical release on April 7th, with a U.S. release still pending. Stay tuned for updates on Jackie Chan and "Ride On" as a source for all things action in 2023 and beyond.
